Long before he sold his first home, Gino Bello knew real estate wasn’t just a career—it was his calling.
At 25, Gino made the decision to leave a successful accounting career at KPMG and pursue the passion for real estate he had been developing for years. He saw an opportunity to combine his financial background with his competitive spirit, entrepreneurial drive, and genuine desire to help people. Walking away from the security of an established career was a risk, but Gino saw it as an opportunity to build something of his own.
“I’ve always believed that if your heart isn’t in something, you simply can’t do it,” Gino says, “And my heart was fully in this.”
Just two weeks after receiving his real estate license, Gino ordered a license plate that read “TOP REALTOR.” Some people laughed at the time. Gino didn’t. To him, the plate wasn’t about claiming success—it was about setting a standard for himself. It was a daily reminder to work hard, keep learning, and become the kind of real estate professional he wanted to be.
More than two decades later, that ambition has become a career built on experience, results, and relationships.
Today, Gino is an established Westchester County real estate professional and the leader of Gino Bello Homes at Howard Hanna | Rand Realty. Over the course of his career, he has helped clients buy and sell more than 1,800 homes throughout Westchester County, while also serving clients across Bronx County, Putnam County, Connecticut, and the surrounding New York metropolitan market.
But the numbers tell only part of the story.
Gino’s business has been built largely through referrals and repeat clients—a reflection of the relationships he has developed over the years and the confidence clients place in his guidance. His approach is straightforward: listen carefully, know the market, provide honest advice, negotiate strategically, and always keep his clients’ goals and priorities at the center of every decision.
As the business grew, so did the team around him. Gino built a collaborative real estate team grounded in the same principles that shaped his own career: hard work, strategic thinking, innovative marketing, accountability, and a commitment to doing right by the people they serve.
While the business has evolved, the philosophy behind it has remained the same.
Whether representing a first-time homebuyer, marketing a luxury property, preparing a longtime family home for sale, assisting an investor, or navigating a competitive multiple-offer situation, Gino approaches every transaction with the same objective: protect his clients’ interests and achieve the strongest possible result.
“I always remind myself that we’re not just selling homes—we’re helping people choose where they’ll build their lives,” Gino says. “That’s a responsibility I take very seriously.”
That perspective comes from somewhere deeper than real estate.
A proud Bronx native, Gino carries the work ethic and values he learned growing up into every aspect of his life and business. His connection to the Bronx is personal, giving him a genuine appreciation for the neighborhoods, communities, and families that make it so special.
He attended Fordham University, where he met his wife and college sweetheart. His parents had already instilled in him a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the opportunity to build a better life, but building a family of his own gave those values an even deeper sense of purpose.
Those same values shape the way Gino views homeownership. Having watched his parents come to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream and build a life of their own, he understands that a home can represent far more than a transaction or an investment. It can be where a family puts down roots, creates memories, and builds a future. For Gino, helping people find that place carries a personal significance that goes well beyond the closing table.
“I know I’ve done my job when my clients walk away feeling confident about the decisions they’ve made,” he says. “For me, success has never been measured by the commission. It has always been measured by the relationships I build, the experience I provide, and knowing I’ve made what can be a stressful process feel a little easier.”
That is ultimately the story of Gino Bello: a Bronx kid who took a chance on himself, left a secure career to pursue something he believed in, and built a real estate business one relationship at a time. The “TOP REALTOR” license plate may have been an ambitious declaration when he was 25, but the standard behind it has remained with him ever since.
More than 20 years later, Gino has built more than just a successful career. He has built a team, a reputation, and a business grounded in the belief that a client’s experience matters just as much as the results achieved.
